Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi, Chairman of the Taiba Educational Group and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Merritt University, 45 students at Taiba Academy are preparing to participate in the individual games competitions held annually by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Captain Muhammad Pasha, responsible for sports activity in the Youth Welfare Department at Taibah Academy, said that these male and female players are continuing their preparations to participate in individual sports competitions and are being followed up and motivated to obtain advanced positions. He added that the most prominent of these individual sports are karate and wrestling.

He pointed out that the group sports competitions organized by the Ministry had ended, and the Taiba Academy five-a-side football team reached the quarter-finals, as did the volleyball team, but the youth basketball teams and the girls’ basketball team were unable to pass the round of sixteen. We will work to achieve better results in next year’s competitions. In group games, we follow a new method, which is holding weekly gatherings for these teams
We also organized an internal five-a-side football tournament under the name “Gaza” to discover the best players. We also care about the physical aspect of the players. We have begun to apply these ideas to collective teams, and now we have two five-a-side football teams and a basketball team at the Taiba Higher Computer Institute, as well as a handball team at the same institute and a football team. Other than that, these teams are being restructured, and we have great hope of achieving first places in the individual games, as we are accustomed to at Thebes Academy.
